December Aggregates

December Aggregates

December has arrived, where has the year gone???

We have now been running the new website for 4 months and we are delighted with the impact it has had with sales and also the impact it has had on our customers, many have complimented us on our very simple, smart looking and very informative site. As its our virtual shop window we work hard on looking at ways to improve it for you, the readers, existing and potential customers. In the last couple weeks we have added a ‘how to use our website video‘, this is to aid our customers navigate the site with ease. We will continue to improve the services we provide on a daily basis in order to stay with the times and not fall behind, we feel that this is truly what the customer deserves.

The first working day of December has come to an end but that hasn’t effected delivery schedule, we have delivered a 100 tons of Aggregates today to a handful of sites across UK, from Type 1 MOT ,Building Sand, Sharp Sand to 20mm Gravel.

Despite in general across the country workload slows down during the latter weeks of the year, we always get a surge of orders from private builders/groundworkers and home owners themselves looking to get projects finished or tidied in time for Christmas.

Today we have delivered 20ton of Type 1 MOT to a house in Penge, Greater London. This was for a driveway and surrounding walkways around a house extension which was nearly finished. The building work had been completed and it was just a case of getting the slab patio down and the gravel driveway completed. 10 ton of 20mm Gravel is booked in for the end of the week.

20 ton of Building sand was delivered also to a private house extension to a team of builders in Chingford,London who were hoping to get it built up to the roof in time to finish for Christmas.

At the other end of the spectrum of course is the big building sites just starting up and will have ongoing work for a few months, we delivered 40 ton of Sharp Sand went to a brand new site in Colchester to be used as screed for the floors in the new builds. We are also hopeful of many more deliveries as and when more plots are built.

The remaining 20 ton delivered today was in two 10 ton loads of 20 mm Gravel into a small site in Cambridge, due to access a 8 wheel load of 20 ton was not ideal for the customer, so we organised it to be delivered on a 4 wheel lorry with 10 ton of aggregate on each.

Day 1 of December complete we move on to day 2 and another busy day in the delivery of Aggregates
